For all the top-notch high school football played in Gwinnett County, only one local product, Brice Butler of Norcross, has ever played in the heralded U.S. Army All-American Bowl. At the youth football level, Gwinnett has made more significant strides.
Six county players, as well as three coaches, have been selected to participate in the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl, a tandem event with the U.S. Army game next month. Gwinnett also sent six players to last year’s showcase with the nomination help of Eastbay Bowl director Erik Richards, also the Gwinnett Football League president and the national director of scouting for Football University.
